Squiggle’s home visit service is designed to put your mind at ease and to demonstrate we’re very much a human company. Simply click the “Book a Callback” button below and then choose a time and date that’s convenient for YOU. Why Do I Need a Will?
If any of the following applies to you, then you should consider writing a will.
I’m living with a partner
Remember that if you’re not married, the law will treat your estate as if you’re single and your partner may end up receiving nothing.
I’m married
If you don’t have a will in place, your spouse may not automatically inherit your entire estate.
I have children from a previous relationship
If you have children from a previous relationship, they may not inherit anything if you’re now (re)married.
I own property and/or other assets
You should be very specific about who you would like to inherit your property and/or live in your property once you pass away. Don’t forget to also consider protecting your share of the asset(s) to offset potential costs if you need to go into care.
I’m a grandparent and/or have new grandchildren
You may want to consider updating your will to take into account any new grandchildren so that they inherit directly from you.
I don’t want the state to decide who inherits what from my estate
Remember that if you don’t have a will, then you don’t have any control over how your estate is divided up and who it goes to. Having a will in place gives you peace of mind that your estate will be handled in the way you want it to – no ”ifs” or “buts”.
This is not a comprehensive list of examples. If you’re not sure about your circumstances, then give us a call on 01233 659 796.
